One thing I loved doing (and still love doing) is visiting waterfalls in Bali, Indonesia. It’s so nice to hike down a trail, swim and get some amazing views. Here are some of my favourites:
Tukad Cepung Waterfall
This is the first waterfall I have ever visited. The owner of a hostel I once stayed in recommended the place. Back in the days there were only a couple of locals and us. To get there you have to walk down through a beautiful cave and streams of water, so make sure to bring a waterproof camera!
Waterfall Kanto Lampo
If you want to swim in a not too crowded waterfall, Kanto Lampo is the place to go to! Even though the way down can be a bit slippery and wet, it’s probably one of the easiest waterfalls to get to. The way down isn’t long at all.
Tibumana Waterfall is a simple, small and not too touristy waterfall – which I love. It’s a very easy walk down and the place amazing for swimming.
Tegenungan Waterfall is located close to Ubud in the Tegenungan Kemenuh villiage. It is probably one of the most popular waterfalls for tourists because damn, it was busy by the time we got there. Therefore it’s probably best to get here – very – early in the morning. Needless to say it’s an amazing waterfall!
Of course these aren’t all the waterfalls in Bali. There are many more for you to visit and explore! For most waterfalls you have to pay a 5k-10k Indonesian Rupiah entrance fee, which is totally worth it if you fancy an adventure or are just looking to cool off for the day.
