Real Techniques is one of my all time favourite brands when it comes to brushes. I totally adore their buffing brush, expert face brush and setting brush! So when I saw that Sam & Nic’s Travel Essentials Set was being sold for only €18,-, I just couldn’t resist getting a couple more of these gorgeous, amazing, perfect brushes! Let’s take a closer look:
The Travel Essentials Set should provide everything you need to create flawless looks at home and when you’re away. The set consists of three different brushes and a simple, black brush holder. This brush holder can be used to take your brushes with you and can even by used to let your brushes dry after you’ve washed them. I personally don’t use this brush holder that often, but it’s a nice thing to have when you’re away.
Multi Task Brush
One of the brushes in the set that immediately sparkled my curiosity is the Multi Task Brush. This brush can be used for applying powder, bronzer ánd blush – which makes it perfect for travelling! The brush is super soft and has a cute metallic pink colour. The brush applies very light, which makes it very easy to build up that bronzer and blush. I can honestly say that this brush is absolutely amazing! It’s a real multi-tasker!
Essential Foundation Brush
Then, there is also the Essential Foundation Brush, which is said to build flawless custom coverage with liquid foundation or concealer. Now I must say that this brush is a little bit useless for me personally, since I always apply my foundation and concealer with a buffing brush. Foundation brushes like this one just tend to give my skin less natural look than buffing brushes do. But, the fact that I personally don’t like to use this kind of brushes of course doesn’t make this brush bad. It’s still a super soft brush that can be used perfectly fine for foundation and concealer. It just depends on what sort of brushes you like to use. What I do like about this brush is that it’s a little bit bigger than the Pointed Foundation Brush that comes in the Core Collection Set. This makes it so much more easy to use than the smaller version!
Domed Shadow Brush
Last, but absolutely not least, there is the Domed Shadow Brush. This brush should smoothly shade and define your eyes – and that’s exactly what it does! I’m not that kind of gal that has 20 brushes for eye make-up, so I like the fact that this brush can be used in multiple ways. It can be used to apply simple colours of eyeshadow, but is also great for blending and adding pops of colour in the crease. It’s super soft and versatile and will definitely be taken on every single trip in the future!!
I’m still waiting for the day that Real Techniques starts selling their brushes separately! If they would, I would stock up on some Domed Shadow Brushes and Multi Task Brushes for sure. What I love about the brushes from Real Techniques is that they are ultra-plush. The bristles are synthetic, 100% cruelty-free and hand cut. Another good thing is that these brushes stay perfect for a very long time, even after washing and using on a regular basis. And to make things even better: the brushes are super, super, super light weight; which makes them absolutely perfect for travelling!
